Wonderful! Very interesting and, as always, erudite and full of beauty. It’s work like this that may, if anything can, save us from drowning in the vast and polluted ocean of cultural impoverishment that the blindly arrogant, blinkered and bone-headed ‘culture’ of materialism and consumption willingly flails in.

I am enjoying this series you've created on the 'Heavenly Figures'. I'm a student of (a 'Western' school of) astrology and am so struck by the correspondences and continuities or threads that carry so widely across time and culture.

They are basically the same tradition, Islamic astrology came out of classical astrology (itself ultimately from Mesopotamian cultures) but the iconography carries influences from as far as India.
